It’s Amy Calandrino! I’m excited to have just returned from the inaugural Commercial Real Estate Influencers Summit #CREiSummit held in gorgeous Lake Tahoe. I was invited as I’m one of the top LinkedIn Commercial Real Estate Influencers. In going, my goal was to uncover new tools to deliver further value to my team and clients.
The most memorable part of the experience was hearing from Phil Darius Wallace https://creisummit.com/phil-darius-wallace/ who even had me on the stage as a volunteer. In communicating and public speaking, it’s not just about what you say but how you say it. Learning about body posture and discovering your personal speaking style can boost the efficacy of your delivery. Another point Darius made was to eradicate fear of speaking through practice creating confidence. Moreover, hearing Darius share his one of his most vulnerable moments provided me with courage to be more open with my past experiences so I can connect more with others.
At the conference, I was reminded how much we all can be inspired hearing the stories of others. At least for me, imposter syndrome is a real thing and rediscovering I’m not alone can be motivating. In this series, I’m committed to bring aboard successful business to share their journey. So often we can learn from another and it’s comforting to have one another’s support. In short, I’m back! I look forward to sharing resources and stories again. It’s been too long with two under two and growing the business! Thanks to the CREi Summit for lighting a fire under me.
